Who we are
We build, fund and run the energy systems that keep Telkom's network on air.
NTC South Africa (Pty) Ltd, the National Telecom Company, was established in 2017 and is headquartered at 22 on Sloane, Bryanston, Sandton. We are an Authorised Telkom SA Public Sector Dealer and an Openserve service delivery partner, working across three divisions: Telecommunications, Technical Services and Security. NTC Energy Infrastructure is our technical services division.
We design, install, finance, monitor and maintain solar and battery energy storage systems at Telkom tower bases and ESG sites, and for commercial and industrial clients. Under our energy rental model, NTC carries the capital cost and owns the equipment, while Telkom pays a predictable monthly charge for the power it uses.

What we do
One accountable partner for the whole energy life cycle, from the first energy audit to the monthly bill, for telecom, commercial and industrial sites.
Solar PV design & installation
Energy audits and load assessment, then roof and ground-mount systems with professional engineer sign-off, commissioning and certification.
Battery energy storage
Battery energy storage systems (BESS) and hybrid inverters, supplied, installed and commissioned to carry loads through load-shedding.
Energy rental
NTC funds, owns and insures the system. The client pays a fixed basic charge plus a metered charge per kWh, with no capital outlay.
Smart metering & monitoring
Smart meters record energy produced and consumed, with data connectivity for remote performance monitoring and accurate billing.
Planned maintenance
Six-monthly site visits covering panel cleaning, inspection, terminal tightening and performance checks.
Site security & access control
CCTV, alarm monitoring and armed response from our PSIRA Grade A security division, plus high-security cabinets and access control.

Energy rental for Telkom towers
NTC builds the energy system at the site and rents the power back to Telkom. Telkom gets resilient, cleaner power at every site and pays only for what it uses, with no capital spend.

Our work with Telkom
As an Authorised Telkom SA Public Sector Dealer, NTC is a delivery partner on Telkom's ESG energy programme. In Phase 1 we delivered solar and battery systems to five Telkom tower sites in Gauteng, in commercial operation and billing since March 2026 and supported by our own field technicians.

Only with drivers, activity operators and service providers needed to deliver your trip, bound by confidentiality, or where the law requires.
Retention and security
We keep information only as long as needed for these purposes and apply reasonable technical and organisational safeguards.
